The need to install a modelling tool can be a stumbling block that prevents people – practioners, students or others – getting started with modelling. So it is advantageous to avoid that step by using a web-based interface, and these are increasingly available. This resource provides links to some web-based modelling tools. We separate them into rough categories, according to whether they are just for editing models in a fixed language, or are more sophisticated MDE tools, perhaps with support for domain-specific languages.
Note that this is still a fairly young area and, consequently, documentation is not yet as good as it should be. If you want to help by providing pointers to more detailed documentation and tutorials or by creating some such training materials yourself, please get in touch.
