MDENet is keen to support the dissemination of MDE ideas at industrial conferences, such as but not limited to FOSDEM or KubeCon. The MDENet dissemination fund offers an excellent opportunity to support colleagues (from the UK), who want to represent MDENet, and MDE ideas, at such a conference.
We are, therefore, calling for expressions of interest from UK members of MDENet for the attendance of relevant industrial events. Members supported via the dissemination fund will be expected to give a presentation about MDENet and MDE ideas at the conference – this could be a presentation as part of the regular programme or a stand / poster, depending on what is the most suitable format for the conference. Funding can be requested to support travel, conference fees (where applicable), and presentation materials (e.g., posters, stands, etc.). Limited funding is available, but we will review any reasonable requests.
When submitting an expression of interest to mdenet@kcl.ac.uk, please include the following information:
- Name of the conference
- Name and affiliation of MDENet member
- One paragraph summary of what the conference is about
- One paragraph statement of audience targeted and why we should target this conference
- One paragraph statement of how you intend to represent MDENet and MDE at the event
- Overview of expected costs
We will accept and review proposals on a rolling basis and will aim to respond within two working weeks.
